Commitment issues

It’d be nice if I could settle down and just hunker into it and be happy with what I chose for the rest of my life.

Regarding what my blog is going to be about, that is.

The thing is, I don’t really want to be locked into any one subject, even if it IS near and dear to my heart. How very dreary to have to keep all one’s thoughts not on the main theme to oneself. Or, perish the thought, have multiple blogs.

Better to have one that is decently maintained than a couple zillion all over the intarwebz that are only visited under pain of losing custody.

On the other hand, that does mean that this will probably become a frivolous blog, *looks sheepishly at the HS quiz from earlier* both in tone and subject matter.  So, there goes the hopes of being “best XX blog”.

*tosses the notion, kaput out the window*

So, one question I had — why does it usually get hotter after summer solstice, which is supposedly the longest day in the year?

The reason is because although we have maximum heat input on summer solstice, which is also the “start of summer” according to astronomers, there is still heat input after that and there has been buildup for quite some time before that, so it takes a while before the ratio of heat input to heat disspation evens out.

However, weather here in Wooster, OH, has been remarkably cool these past few days and the forecast for this week has the daytime temperature hovering around the low 20s Celcius and nights being a tad nippy.

Lovely, lovely weather.

I’m not sure the farmers would agree, but I’m thrilled.

By the by, I think the US should get with the program and shift over to Celcius. The rest of the civilized world had, y’know? *grin*
